It is a tradition to have the annual King Kamehameha parade in Waikiki as well as celebrations taking place on the neighboring islands. Traditionally, the King Kamehameha statue on xxxx street is ceremoniously draped with lei to celebrate Hawaii’s greatest king. He stands proudly in front of the Iolani Palace in downtown Honolulu. For some of you, might recognize the exterior of the building to the new versions of the television series Hawaii 5-0.
